About the Trainer

Providing Real World Solutions for Real World Problems

Jody Epstein, APDT has a graduate education in experimental psychology with a focus in animal behavior and learning. She has owned dogs all of her life.

Dog trainer Jody Epstein with Cashew, Akita-Chow mixJody approaches all dog behaviors from a psychological/motivational perspective, allowing her to explore the motivations behind the behavior. If we understand why the behavior is occurring, we can then effectively modify the behavior to one that is more acceptable to the pet parents.

Using positive reinforcement methods combined with appropriately introduced aversive therapy when necessary, Ms. Epstein is able to train dogs and their owners to improve the lives of both.

Specializing in behavioral modification as well as obedience, Jody has been training pets and their people for more than 5 years. She has experience with issues ranging from indoor soiling to fear-based aggression displays; from pulling on the leash to refusal to walk in certain areas and much more.

Jody takes great pleasure in helping dogs become better companions and teaching pet parents how to communicate more effectively with their four-legged family members.

When not working or spending time with her family, Jody shares her expertise by answering questions on http://allexperts.com   where she currently enjoys the highest user rating for both knowledgeability and clarity.
